In 2007 the Dutch foundation Pelita had its 60th anniversary. They celibrated it with a fair and a debat in Utrecht. Pelita is founded to support the Dutch-Indonesian people who had come to The Netherlands after the WWII and what is called the bersiap.
The song is about the things the Duth-Indonesian people had to face and about the difficulties they have with the identity.
